Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) made history by clinching their first-ever UEFA Champions League title with a dominant 5–0 win over Inter Milan in the final at the Allianz Arena in Munich. The goals came from Désiré Doué (brace), Achraf Hakimi, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and youngster Senny Mayulu.
Reacting to the win, former PSG star Kylian Mbappé, who left the club for Real Madrid in 2024, shared an Instagram story that read:
"The big day has finally arrived. Victory, and in club style. Congratulations, PSG."
The message came as a show of respect and pride despite Mbappé's earlier departure in search of Champions League glory with Real Madrid — a dream that eluded him this season after his new team was knocked out by Arsenal in the quarter-finals.
Mbappé, however, enjoyed a stellar debut season at Madrid, registering 42 goals and 4 assists and helping his team win the UEFA Super Cup.
PSG’s coach Luis Enrique also praised the team’s unity and maturity throughout the season, subtly alluding to the improved dynamics following Mbappé’s exit.
